Hello! I’m Erin.

As a professional organizer my goal is to show you how to reclaim, reorganize and love living in your home again! Organizing With Erin has been helping to declutter and organize homes throughout Westchester, Putnam and Fairfield Counties since 2019.

So how did I become a home organizer?

My first career was as an art director in the city and I loved it — until we had our first child and bought a home in the suburbs! When commuting became too stressful because it took so much precious time away from my family, I decided to invest in a home office and become a self-employed freelancer — and loved that too!

Working from home as a full time mom did present its own kind of stress and challenges. Sometimes while feeding my newborn I would look around in frustration at all of the home projects that needed to get done, knowing that when my sweet boy fell asleep I would likely be at my computer meeting design deadlines. When I felt really stressed or overwhelmed I’d steal some time to organize a closet or drawer and somehow it calmed me!

Years later when our boys were grown and we decided to sell our house and downsize, we had some tough decisions to make. All of the accumulated artifacts from raising a family, my design work, abandoned hobbies, and from other family members who had downsized needed to be thoughtfully curated. We wanted to keep what was important to us and gently let go of the rest. It was such a fun and liberating process for me that I wanted to guide others through their decluttering and organizing journeys!
